International Youth Day Spotlight Award

NGYouthSDGs, in partnership with OXFAM in Nigeria, launched the Youth Day Spotlight Awards to honor young Nigerians, between the ages of 18 and 29, who are leading actions for sustainable development at local and national levels. The award aims to highlight the efforts of young people and advocate for their meaningful and equitable engagement in policies and programs in Nigeria. It is a part of commemorating International Youth Day.

The Youth SDGs Spotlight Compendium

The Youth SDGs Spotlight Compendium is a collection of actions by fifty young Nigerians shaping the trajectory of Nigeria towards sustainable development.

This compendium is not just a collection of stories; it is a celebration of youth’s ingenuity, resilience, and determination. It shines a light on their projects, initiatives, and innovations that make a tangible difference in their communities, countries, and beyond.

COVID-Positive Stories

Following the impact of COVID-19, NGYouthSDGs launched the COVID-19 Positive Stories to showcase examples of how young Nigerians are taking action in their communities to end the

pandemic. The compendium served as an inspiration for many young people to embrace volunteering and support the efforts of healthcare workers in a bid to flatten the curve.

Decent Work

NGYouthSDGs created a podcast to provide young people with tools to get into jobs via www.decentwork.ng and it serves as an aggregator site for youth to get opportunities to grow their professional and career goals.
