Call yourself to leadership, don’t wait: Recap of the May Edition of SDGs Cafe with Trevor Waldock

This conversation with Trevor Waldock, the founder of Emerging Leaders is an opportunity for young Nigerians to acquire leadership skills that will be pivotal after the #COVID19 pandemic.

The pandemic has forced a new reality on us but instead of despair, we embrace the positivity and the opportunity to connect with our world better.

In May, the Youth SDGs Cafe officially went virtual. Going virtual affords us the opportunity to connect with more young people and interact together. We discussed how young people can lead their lives and organizations.

Leadership is an important skill that cannot be overemphasized. At every stage, there is a need for every leader to rethink how s/he is steering the wheel and sailing the ship. The leadership style before #COVID19 might not be relevant during the pandemic and even after the pandemic. Leadership requires continuous learning and growth. Every young person should be intentional about improving their leadership skill.

To help us better understand how to navigate this unprecedented period as leaders and how to better position ourselves for the post #COVID19, Joshua Alade spoke with the founder of Emerging Leaders, Trevor Waldock, an NGO that works to inspire vulnerable communities in the UK and Africa.
