KEY OUTCOMES OF WORKSHOP 2
The workshop was built on insights from Workshop 1, survey responses, and subnational interviews. These informed the prioritization of policy measures, which reflect: Stakeholder priorities, existing policy gaps, and Opportunities to align with Nigeria’s climate goals.
The Scorecard offers a comprehensive overview of:
1. Existing building-related policies and gaps.
2. Policy prioritization and stakeholder preferences.
3. Challenges in policy effectiveness and implementation.
4. Opportunities for improvement across Nigeria’s states and the Federal Capital Territory.

CONCLUSION
The NDC Scorecard Workshop 2 was a critical step towards advancing
sustainable building practices in Nigeria. It provided a platform for stakeholders to collaborate on identifying and addressing gaps in Nigeria’s climate policy framework. The insights gathered will contribute significantly to achieving Nigeria’s climate goals under the Paris Agreement while driving decarbonisation and resilience in the built environment.

The Green Building Council Nigeria’s efforts in promoting sustainability are commendable, and the Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative (NGYouthSDGs) remains committed to supporting initiatives that align with the Sustainable Development Goals
