The Nigeria Youth SDGs Network, registered as the Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative (NGYouthSDGs), has been selected as the 2025 Emerging Champion by Evaluation for Action. This prestigious global recognition celebrates youth-led efforts in advancing evaluation for transformative change.
The Eval4Action campaign is a global initiative that mobilises commitments and actions from a diverse range of stakeholders – including parliaments, governments, evaluation networks, and young and emerging evaluators , to accelerate efforts toward influential evaluation. It advocates for stronger evaluation systems that inform public policy and ensure no one is left behind.
NGYouthSDGs has been recognised by the Eval4Action campaign for its outstanding commitment to promoting youth-inclusive evaluation, enhancing accountability, and building capacity for data-driven advocacy and policy engagement in Nigeria.
“This recognition is not just a milestone for NGYouthSDGs but a testament to the power of youth-led impact. We are deeply honored and excited to continue promoting meaningful youth participation in policies and programs that drive the SDGs in Nigeria,” said Oluwabukunmi Obadeyi, who represented NGYouthSDGs virtually at the Summit for the Future of Evaluation to receive the award.
Speaking on the sidelines of the summit, NGYouthSDGs Founder and Director Joshua Alade said “our vision at NGYouthSDGs is to champion youth-led change in Nigeria and we are delighted at the opportunity to showcase our evidence-based approach for advancing youth leadership in Nigeria. This award is for the young people we work with, our colleagues, our partners and our advisory board.”
As part of this recognition, NGYouthSDGs’ self-assessment will be published on the Eval4Action campaign website, contributing to global learning and peer exchange among evaluation champions around the world.
