Nigeria Youth SDGs Network (NGYouthSDGs) has been recognized by the United Nations as Good Practices, Success Stories and Lessons Learned in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
NGYouthSDGs founded in 2017 and registered as Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative is a coalition of youth-led and youth-serving civil society organizations supported by 72 youth champions and 3,700 volunteers across the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory.
Six years since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), many governments, UN entities, international and regional organizations and stakeholders have gained in-depth knowledge and expertise and taken innovative steps towards implementing this ambitious global framework.
Many inspiring breakthroughs and success stories show results and impacts worldwide, and several good practices can be replicated and scaled up to address existing gaps and constraints. Bringing this global expertise to scale will be critical to support recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic and to accelerate progress towards the Decade of Action to deliver the SDGs.
The aim of the SDG Good Practices, Success Stories and Lessons Learned, is to encourage partnership and shared storytelling that can lead to the attainment of the SDG.
NGYouthSDGs is extremely delighted to be among 464 SDG Good Practices globally.
