Position: Programmes Officer
Salary: NGN 120,000 per month
Duration: Initial three months contract, renewable subject to performance
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Purpose of the role
To support and manage relationships and activities with multilateral partners and NGOs; to support the collection and dissemination of required programme information, and to lead on the delivery of programmes based on the organization’s thematic areas.

Nigeria Youth SDGs is a youth-led and youth-serving organization advocating for meaningful youth engagement in the localization of the SDGs in Nigeria. Our desire is to see young people leading and thriving in issues that affect their present and future.
We focus on civic participation, education and capacity development and employment and livelihoods. We believe in evidence-based advocacy and working with youth stakeholders to ensure that young people can lead and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
The Programmes Officer will support programme evaluation and research, including leading on the delivery of the research and development elements of programmes. He/She will lead the day-to-day management of programmes and the implementation of the programmes’ policies and processes. He/She will support the development of partnerships with universities and represent the Executive Director at appropriate conferences and networking groups. This description is not exhaustive, and the job holder may be required to undertake duties that are broadly in line with the above responsibilities.

Technical skills, knowledge, and experience
Essential:
- Strong IT skills, including good knowledge of Excel
- Excellent administrative skills
- Strong report writing skills
- Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate data
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of international development
- Experience in designing and developing research projects

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Work Pattern
This is a full-time position.
